What Is EDIT'R?
EDIT'R is a text editor that was created to aid users in editing small
(under 32K) text files. The following keys/key combinations can be used
within EDIT'R.
Editing Keys: HOME Move to beginning of line
CTRL+HOME Move to beginning of document
END Move to end of line
CTRL+END Move to end of document
INSERT Insert Mode / Overstrike Mode
DELETE Remove character over the cursor
BACKSPACE Remove character left of the cursor
LEFT ARROW Move cursor one character to the left
RIGHT ARROW Move cursor one character to the right
TAB Move cursor to next TAB position
Using EDIT'R With Command Line Parameters
The following command line string shows the structure that can be used
with EDIT'R if command line parameters are desired.
EDITR FILENAME
EDITR - EDITR is the name of the executable file, and should
always be the first entry entered on the command line.
FILENAME - The filename parameter can optionally contain the filename
of the file to edit with EDIT'R. A fully qualified path
on the front of the filename field is also optional.
The following is a list of possible command line examples:
EDITR C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT
EDITR C:\CONFIG.SYS
EDITR C:\SHELL.CFG
EDITR C:\QMPRO\CAPTURE.CAP
How Can I Register EDIT'R?
If you are using an unregistered copy of EDIT'R, you can register EDIT'R
by purchasing it from STSI. Select Help from the main menu, and then
select Registration Information for more information. You may also
print the file REGISTER.DOC, which is an ASCII text order form.
If you are in a hurry to register EDIT'R, call STSI at (218) 924-2050,
charge it to your Visa/MC, American Express, or Discover credit card,
and you will receive a registration number over the telephone.
